Attribution For Naught: A Note About Raw Blogging
Raw blogging can get pretty raw, especially when blogging energized panel discussions when speakers are speaking on top of each other, and the blogger is heads-down immersed in his/her keypad
trying to take down and turn around the good stuff, warts and all. And frustrating as it is, every so often something gets lost in the heat of the battle -- including proper attributions.
That's exactly what happened earlier this week while this reporter was blogging live and extemporaneously from the Mobile Insider Summit at Lake Tahoe, and I inadvertently attributed a quote from
Digitas' Chia Chen to fellow panelist MEC's Andy Wasef.
No excuses, but the glitch happened because I was focused on my screen when Chen made a well-worn industry quip about "free tickets"
and when I looked up at the stage, Wasef had the microphone to his mouth. Just want to thank Wasef for pointing this misattribution out to me, and
to let you all know that the attribution in the original item has been
corrected.
