2012 OMMA Awards Finalist: Web Site Excellence: Youth, Mattel Inc., Manifest, Barbie

When first viewing this Web site, there is plenty of what this recognizable youth brand is known for — pink. Launched in May 2012, Barbie now has a reality series, “Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse,” which has already gained 13 million views within the first four months. The Dreamhouse features a Web game, B Friends, where users interact with Barbie characters each week as they post comments, polls and tasks on the user’s profile page, which then coincides with the narrative of the Web series.
