Ben-SherwoodThe joint ABC News/Univision English-language news and lifestyle network targeting Hispanics will be based in Miami, where Univision has a production facility.

A CEO has yet to be announced, but is expected before the end of the year, as the unnamed network moves toward a 2013 debut.

However, the venture said Miguel Ferrer, a former managing editor of several sections on The Huffington Post, including the English-language Latino Voices, will become the executive producer of digital operations.

A recent distribution deal between Disney and Cablevision includes carriage of the coming network as ABC handles distribution and ad sales. Univision has said it plans to invest $25 million as the joint venture gets off the ground.

"We look forward to becoming an integral part of the Miami-Dade community and its robust and rich media culture,” stated ABC News chief Ben Sherwood.
