Nook Makes Video Deals With NBCU, Fox

Barnes & Noble's Nook Media signed content licensing deals for its new Nook Video service with NBCU and 20th Century Fox Home, among major studios, reports B&C. Buyers of the new Nook HD and Nook HD+ tables will get access to "thousands of movies and TV shows" in Nook Video catalog, such as "Battleship," "Diary of a Winpy Kid: Dog Days" and "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax." "We specifically designed and optimized the new Nook HD and Nook HD+ to deliver the most exceptional video and entertainment experiences ...," stated Jonathan Shar, VP and general manager of emerging digital content, Nook Media.
