Spectrio Taps Wovenmedia; Vector Joins DPAA
Spectrio, which specializes in video-based marketing, has chosen Wovenmedia to provide cloud-based video publishing support that will allow Spectrio to create and manage branded video channels for digital out-of-home display nationwide, including place-based networks reaching audiences in healthcare, automobile, and quick-service-food venues.
Wovenmedia’s Video Publishing Service offers Web-based tools for managing video networks as well as a library of third-party content licensed from premium publishers; this content can be displayed alongside custom video messages created by Spectrio and branding elements to create customized digital out-of-home networks, with a focus on the categories mentioned above. Spectrio’s digital out-of-home clients include networks reaching customers via waiting areas, retail spaces and interactive kiosk applications.
WovenMedia’s video offerings are also compatible with TV, Web, and mobile video, enabling cross-platform delivery of video content and advertising.
Also this week, the Digital Place-based Advertising Association announced a new member: Vector Media, which specializes in large-format advertising and interactive brand experiences. Vector controls over 13,500 outdoor and transit advertising spaces, including bulletins, wallscapes, and telephone kiosks, as well as two recently-acquired digital-out-home networks -- South Beach Network and Visual Limits Casino Advertising.
It’s been a busy year for the DPAA membership. Earlier this year two digital signage vendors, BroadSign International and NEC Display Solutions, joined the industry org. There was also a rare instance of attrition: in October PlaceWise Media announced it was withdrawing from the DPAA, following its decision to refocus its Shoptopia platform more intensively on mobile.
