Sony will become the official consumer electronics company for the San Francisco 49ers and their New Santa Clara Stadium. The company will also become the presenting partner of the 49ers Hall of Fame.
According to the company and the football club, Sony’s partnership centers on “maximizing the entertainment value” for fans at the stadium. Sony will use its technology to create “personal, engaging and interactive experiences” for fans both online and in-stadium.
"Sony has a well-deserved reputation for leading innovation and quality performance, and its all-around leadership in entertainment experiences will help make this stadium the premier outdoor sports and entertainment venue," said 49ers Chief Executive Officer Jed York, in a statement. "Together with Sony, the 49ers are committed to creating the ultimate game-day experience, as we are building a fan-friendly, technologically-advanced stadium that embodies the finest of Silicon Valley and the Bay Area."
