The owner of interactive television pioneer OpenTV has sued Netflix, reports Reuters, alleging the company infringed on tech patents that service the Internet video sector. Currently there are a large number of digital TV shows and movies delivered over the Internet to smart TVs, tablets and smartphones. It is a crowded marketplace. Netflix competes with Amazon, Vudu and Hulu, which is owned by Walt Disney Co, News Corp and Comcast Corp.
