Nethercutt Moves To PlaceIQ As CRO
Longtime mobile advertising executive to several important startups in the space Tony Nethercutt has taken on the role of chief revenue officer for
location data provider and profiler PlaceIQ. He will oversee PlaceIQ’s expansion of sales, accounts and ad ops as well as its publisher and ad network relations. PlaceIQ has partnered with the
Weather Channel, Jumptap, Verve Wireless and other mobile infrastructure and data providers to create rich location data for ad targeting and product development.
Nethercutt was among the most visible members of the original AdMob ad network marketing team before it was absorbed by Google. He then moved on to be general manager, North America at Mojiva for the past two years. Nethercutt has also been at YouTube and Mocean.
Throughout the past year, PlaceIQ has been working with ad networks and content providers to demonstrate the ways in which location data as well as deeper profiling of a location’s composition at different times can target mobile marketing in ways that drive conversions and retail sales. In June Weather Channel added hyperlocal targeting using PlaceIQ. Jumptap has also started using PlaceIQ for enhanced local targeting.
