Tim Mahoney is going where? Well, marketers in the auto business move around more than seats on a Tilt-a-Whirl. But General Motors has had a lot to do with that in recent years, bringing in marketers from Hyundai, Toyota and beyond. Mahoney, most recently at Volkswagen and Subaru before that, will become Chief Marketing Officer Global Chevrolet and Global GM Marketing Operations Leader, effective April 1. As VW of America’s executive vice president and chief product and marketing officer, Mahoney lit a fire under the U.S marketing for the German brand.
