Injured Military
Personnel Assisting Combat Troops (IMPACT), a social network supporting Walter Reed Army Medical Center, lets “wounded warriors” share their personal lessons and insights with each
another, putting men and women virtually back in their tight-knit units. The goal of the app is to provide a connection between active-duty members and families supporting them through text, videos
and pictures. The app also allows users to use FaceTime chat, as well as discover new connections based on similar interests and geography.
