ASCAP Hits SXSW
The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) has a huge roster of performances lined up for the SXSW Music and Media Conference and Festival. Besides the Pop/Rock "ASCAP Presents…at SXSW" showcases, the Society is parting with BET for a first-ever "Music Matters, powered by Yahoo! SXSW Showcase".
There are also SXSW music panel discussions, boat rides, showcases and parties, the group says. Some of the events: Radio Day Stage, Brooklyn Vegan Day Parties and Filter Magazine’s Showdown at Cedar Street. The schedule's at www.ascap.com/sxsw.
