MSNBC Ups Matthews' Contract, Ends Sunday Show

MSNBC has signed Chris Matthews to a new, long-term contract with the channel, but is canceling the Sunday "Chris Matthews Show," a syndicated public affairs show from NBC News' D.C. bureau, that's been on TV since 2002. The last show airs July 21.  Matthews says he is ending the syndicated show to focus on “Hardball,” his books and his TV documentaries.
