Sony To Distribute 'Angry Birds' Movie

The video game “Angry Birds,” which become the top-selling mobile-phone app, is coming to the big screen, reports Bloomberg. The animated 3D film is being developed, produced and financed by the game’s publisher, Espoo, Finland-based Rovio Entertainment Oy. It will be distributed by Sony Pictures Entertainment on July 1, 2016. Rovio also produces the mobile games “The Croods,” based on the Dreamworks movie “Tiny Thief” and “Icebreaker.”
