'Voice' Sings To Consistent Beat

One of the biggest shows on broadcast television finished its spring edition pretty close to where it scored a year ago.

NBC’s “The Voice," a two-hour finale edition starting at 8 p.m., earned a Nielsen 3.7 rating/11 share among 18-49 viewers and 12.7 million. Last year’s spring finale put up a 3.8 rating among 18-49 viewers. “The Voice” was also up four-tenths of a rating point versus last week’s final ratings, and it had 11.9 million overall average viewers in its previous original outing.

But the show was way off -- down over a full rating point -- for its December 2012 finale edition, which was at 4.9/13 and 14 million overall viewers.

The next-highest show -- ABC’s “The Bachelorette,” also two hours starting at 8 p.m. -- landed at a season-low 1.7/5. ABC’s new summer show “Mistresses” slipped from its last outing to a 1.3/3 from a 1.4/4.

Both of Fox’s original summer half-hour comedies went a bit lower: “The Goodwin Games” (8:30 p.m.) and “Anger Management” (9:30 p.m.) were both at a 0.5/1 -- “Games” was at a 0.6/2 the week before and “Anger" earned a 0.7/2 in its previous edition. CW’s “Oh Sit!” at 8 p.m. was at a 0.3/1, down from a 0.4/1.

NBC averaged a 3.0/9 among 18-49 viewers -- the best among the broadcasters. ABC was next with a 1.5/4, followed by Univision at a 1.4/4, CBS with a 0.9/3, Fox at a 0.6/2, and CW with a 0.2/1
