GroupM Upgrades 2013 UK Spending Forecast

Advertising spending in measured media in the U.K. is expected to show a 7% increase this year, double the rate GroupM predicted just six months ago, the firm said. That increase will lead the world's larger mature economies in growth rate for 2013 according to the WPP media unit. The revised forecast pegs UK measured media spending at $22.5 billion this year, up from $21 billion in 2012 and eclipsing the previous peak in 2007.
