'Important' & 'Urgent' Resonate in Email Subject Lines: MailChimp

Using the words "urgent" or "important" in an email subject line can increase open rates, according to a new report from email marketing vendor MailChimp. The company also revealed that using a positive tone can impact opens. For instance, words like "announcement" and "invitation" are more likely to generate an email open than subject lines that use words like "reminder" and "cancelled."
