Taps WhoSay For Social Celeb Content
has struck a deal with WhoSay -- which promotes social media content from celebrities -- that will bring celebrity
social media content from WhoSay members to the People.com Web site. The deal also creates new advertising opportunities for brands.
WhoSay’s members include celebrities like
Matthew McConaughey, Channing Tatum, Rory McIlroy, Tom Hanks, Sofia Vergara, CeeLo Green, and Steven Tyler. Content from WhoSay members already appears on social media platforms including Twitter,
Instagram, Facebook and China’s WeChat and Tencent. The new distribution deal with People.com adds an additional channel, allowing celebrities to publish directly to People.com.
Content from WhoSay members will appear in a dedicated channel on People.com, and People
editors will also be able to integrate it into the magazine’s online and print products.
Content from People.com will be integrated into WhoSay’s “Top Stories” news feed, alongside content from WhoSay members. The deal includes WhoSay’s “Talking
Selfie,” which allows celebrities to add audio captions to their photos.
As part of the partnership, advertisers will be able to associate their brands with content from
WhoSay’s celebrity members, as well as People
’s editorial content.

fun activities hosted by characters like Elmo, Big Bird and Grover. The publication emphasizes read-aloud narration, as well as educational games, puzzles, stories, and videos, with children earning

Janell Pittman, the general manager of BHG.com, has been promoted to vice president and general manager for the Better Homes and
and Parents Digital Network, effective immediately, publisher Meredith Corp. announced this week. In this new role, she will add management of Parents.com and Parenting.com to her
existing responsibilities as GM of BHG.com. In addition to overseeing strong audience growth at BHG.com, Pittman led the team that launched Must Have Recipes from Better Homes and Gardens
which has been downloaded over 4 million times since December 2011. Bennet, Cohn Named Co-Presidents, The Atlantic

have been named co-presidents of The Atlantic
. Bennet will retain his title as editor-in-chief, while adding responsibility for product and technology operations. Cohn will transition from
his current role of digital editor to oversee all business operations, including sales and marketing, circulation, AtlanticLIVE and The Wire, as COO and co-president. Atlantic Media also announced
