Microsoft and Salesforce.com have partnered to integrate some of their core products. The idea to make it easier for companies to access CRM data in the various office products they use. On the marketing side, this means that ExactTarget will continue to run on Microsoft' SQL Server database. In addition, Salesforce.com will use Microsoft Azure to develop and test ExactTarget's marketing suite. In addition, ExactTarget is embedded in Office 365 allowing marketers to use ExactTarget's marketing suite within Office 365.
