Rocket Fuel this week announced that J. Peter Bardwick, the company’s chief financial officer, intends to resign as CFO at the end of Q3 2014. He will continue with Rocket Fuel as a consultant after his resignation, per a release.

Bela Pandya, VP of finance at Rocket Fuel, will serve as interim CFO beginning October 1, 2014.

"On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to thank Peter for his dedication and stewardship of Rocket Fuel's financial team through an IPO, a follow-on offering and its first major acquisition," stated Ronald Codd, director and chairman of the audit committee.

Bardwick is resigning to “pursue other opportunities closer to his home and family,” according to the release.

BMO Capital Markets sent a note on Tuesday morning writing that “Bardwick’s departure does not change our view on FUEL shares (Market Perform), and we have no reason to suspect the departure is for any reason other than those stated.”
