Boulder-Based School Awarded AOR Account For The Vail Film Festival

Boulder-based ad shop School, part of independent agency network Project: WorldWide has been named Agency of Record for the Vail Film Festival. The annual event, staged by the Colorado Film Institute, draws thousands of film festival attendees, and offers a creative outlet to the film world’s newest storytellers and innovators. The 12th VFF is scheduled for March 26-29, 2015.

The shop is developing a creative campaign and some of the first work is expected to be unveiled in December.

School was established last year. The founders included CB+P veterans Max Lenderman (who is School's CEO) and Joe Corr (CCO). Their stated mission is to deliver “purpose driven, high-impact” campaigns.

“We are honored to be chosen as Vail Film Festival’s new agency of record to bring world-class talent and brands together in one of the most iconic places on earth,” said Lenderman. “With our shared passion for innovation and the art of storytelling, we’re eager to bring School’s experiential heritage and unique purpose-driven thinking to the prestigious event.”

School will lead all creative support across print, radio and digital, sponsorship activation and custom campaign development for key sponsors. The agency will also be responsible for rebranding this year’s festival.

“School's deep relationships, industry expertise, and purpose-driven, innovative approach will be a tremendous asset to the Vail Film Festival as we move forward into our 12th year,” said Sean Cross, co-founder of Vail Film Festival. “They have a strong understanding of the festival's creative needs and share our vision to help foster and promote independent film. We are thrilled to have School as our agency of record.”

Following tradition, the 12th Annual Vail Film Festival will bring together filmmakers and film fans from across the globe for four days of independent film, parties, live music, resort luxury, and world-class skiing. The festival is proud to screen the best of Features, Docs, Shorts, Student Films, Adventure Films and the Oscar-Shorts Showcase. In addition to screenings and parties, panel discussions and special presentations are part of the program.
