PromaxBDA Taps Kazanjian As CEO

Television’s big marketing/promotion association, PromaxBDA, has named brand marketing executive Steve Kazanjian as its president/chief executive officer.

Kazanjian, who was a former PromaxBDA board member, had been vice president of global creative for MWV, a consumer-packaging company. Kazanjian led creative marketing, brand strategy across platform development and product line positioning for the company. Before MWV, he spent over 15 years in entertainment branding, marketing and promotions.

The announcement was made today by co-chairmen of the PromaxBDA board of directors Joe Earley, COO for the Fox Television Group, and Scot Chastain, senior vice president of affiliate marketing and development at NBC Television Network.

“As our media landscape rapidly evolves, disruption becomes opportunity,” stated Earley.

He adds: “Marketers are at the forefront of assessing and impacting consumer behavior, which is why the support, services and leadership provided by PromaxBDA are more essential than ever." Earley called Kazanjiam "an incredibly talented marketing executive" who had been involved with the company for many years. 

About a year ago, Jonathan Block-Verk, left as president/CEO of PromaxBDA after six years on the job to take a senior-level position at digital music company Shazam.

PromaxBDA represents more than 10,000 companies and individuals — media organizations, marketing and advertising agencies, research companies, strategic and creative vendors, and technology providers.
