HR Group Sponsors PBS Series

The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) will sponsor a new reality-based TV series that follows Chief Executive Officers as they get a taste of what it's like to be a front-line employee in their own organizations. “Back To The Floor,” a new series co-produced by Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB) and the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) challenges top executives to spend a week with their workers -- serving drinks, cooking fries, fielding customer complaints, cleaning dog mess, making cups and saucers and dealing with multiple murderers. They learn about how their company really works, what the business is like, and what their employees think of them. "This is the show every employee fantasizes about," said Denise Fenrick, who works in SHRM's Member Information Center. "Everybody wants someone in power to walk a mile in their shoes and to fix the problems that impact their ability to do a good job."
