180LA Hires Its First Executive Creative Directors

Ad agency 180LA's staff has nearly doubled in the last two years as the shop has grown its business with existing clients like HP, Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences and Mitsubishi Motors of North America, as well as with new business from Expedia, Boost Mobile, and Pepsi.

Starting April 6, Rafael Rizuto and Eduardo Marques will serve as the agency's first-ever executive creative directors to help manage this growth.

Both will report directly to Chief Creative Officer William Gelner and will oversee creative direction across all disciplines for agency and client work.

The duo most recently worked as Creative Directors at Pereira O'Dell San Francisco, after a two-year stint at Ogilvy & Mather Brazil.  Rizuto and Marques, whose work has won a trunkful of hardware, have led campaigns like Hellmann's Recipe Receipt; Coke's Happiness Refill; Whopper Face for Burger King, and AirBnb"s first global campaign, Solving #SochiProblems and Views.

“Besides being two of the most highly awarded creative directors in the world, they bring an amazing amount of passion and energy to everything they touch,” says Gelner. “Their unique global perspective will be invaluable to us as more and more of our clients are looking for big, international ideas that travel and get the world talking.”

They will be based in the agency's Santa Monica headquarters. 180LA is an Omnicom agency.
