Tremor Continues Programmatic Push, Has 100 Publishers Using SSP Now

Tremor Video, a video ad tech company, says it now has over 100 publishers using its supply-side platform (SSP), including Bonnier Corp., USA Today Sports, Publishers Clearing House, Rant and more.

Tremor has turned toward programmatic ad technologies in the past year in a bid to kick-start revenue and turn around what has been a rocky road for the company ever since it went public nearly two years ago. Tremor already has a demand-side platform (DSP), launched last year.

As a result of this shift toward automation, programmatic is a growing percentage of Tremor’s revenue, accounting for 18% of the company's first quarter revenue this year. That's up from 14% in the fourth quarter of 2014 and from 4% during the first quarter of 2014.

Real-Time Daily was told that Tremor does not break down its programmatic revenue by platform — DSP versus SSP — so it’s hard to measure exactly how much of an impact the SSP will have on the business. However, the fast-growing roster of publisher clients indicates that Tremor is pushing hard to grow that portion of its programmatic offering.

Real-Time Daily will chart future earnings releases from Tremor to see if their programmatic push brightens things up.
