Mashable has hired Sam Sheffer, previously social media manager at The Verge, to join the Mashable Collective as a creative producer, focusing on Snapchat as well as Mashable’s other visual
platforms, including Instagram, the online publisher announced this week. The Collective produces mixed media for Snapchat, Instagram, and Vine, among other platforms; it also experiments with new
formats for Mashable’s own channels and events. Sheffer spent three years at The Verge, where he managed its presence on Twitter, Facebook, Google+, App.net, Instagram, and Pinterest.
