Tank Launches West Coast Expansion

Marketing and design firm Tank Design is expanding its San Francisco office in light of additional demand from clients Copper Cane Winery & Provisions, Thompson Hotels, Live Nation and Northgate Capital. The eight-person office has added seven new employees across design, account management and copywriting, and the shop is currently looking to hire several designers over the next few months.

This team is led by Tony Roy, director of digital performance marketing with Creative Director Brian Cleary.

This expansion underlines Tank's organic growth. Copper Canes Wines & Provisions initially had a single project in 2010 to redesign its Meiomi Wines. Pleased with the results, Copper Canes then handed its entire portfolio to the agency to reimagine and rebrand. This summer, Tank has launched the first three of these sites for Elouan, Beran and Carne Humana wines, with an additional site for the company’s other wine brand Belle Glos set to launch later this month. Tank will also roll out a new site for the company’s cigar brand Avrae at the end of the month, and will support Mia Marcelle swimwear this fall. The ability to develop all of the creative and content in-house was a key selling point, say executives.
