Holiday Travel Records Will Be Broken This Year

A record-setting 100 million-plus people will hit the road this holiday season, between Dec. 23 and Jan. 3. Why? Cheap gas. According to AAA, nearly one in three people will travel more than 50 miles to celebrate the season. The 100.5 million estimated travelers represents a 1.4% increase over 2014. The jump in travelers marks the seventh consecutive year that holiday travel has increased. According to AAA, the improved labor market is also driving the increase in holiday travel.
