Campaign Monitor Upgrades Email Marketing Platform

Non-coding email marketers can now easily incorporate CSS and HTML designs into their emails with Campaign Monitor’s upgraded email marketing platform released today.

The All-New Campaign Monitor adds a new design portal to the email marketing platform that allows marketers of any skill set to leverage traditionally coded design features, such as engaging imagery and bolded text, with an easy-to-use drag-and-drop feature.

The upgraded email builder also features built-in image editing, expanded user segmentation and a mobile-friendly design that is automatically optimized for every inbox and device.

“Our vision for the company remains unchanged and we’re laser-focused on delivering the best, most simple email marketing platform for businesses of all sizes,” says Kraig Swensrud, chief marketing officer at Campaign Monitor.

Although Campaign Monitor works with large brand names such as Coca-Cola and Disney, Swensrud asserts that the email marketing company’s core mission is to not just serve the Fortune 500. Campaign Monitor is instead an Enterprise-level platform built to allow small- to medium-sized businesses to access the same marketing tools that are normally reserved for larger companies with more resources at their disposal.

“Smaller businesses want to grow and do amazing things, but they don’t have the armies of people, coding expertise, time or money that some larger companies have,” says Swensrud. “We want to take that pain point off the table for them.”

Previously, companies had to either resort to coding their own HTML and CSS designs or hire expensive third-party agencies. Because of this, Swensrud says small businesses would often be left with subpar email template designs.

“We see this as a dawn of a new era,” says Swensrud. “The era of coding is over and now any marketer with any skill set can create dynamic email designs and content. You don’t have to know how to code, you’re not stuck to the same 24 colors in a template, and you don’t need to know Photoshop. You can you can do all of that in one DIY tool.”
