Initiative Taps Optimedia's Maureen Bosetti For Chief Investment Officer Role

Initiative, part of IPG Mediabrands, has appointed Maureen Bosetti Chief Investment Officer. Bosetti is tasked with leading Initiative’s Integrated Investment unit and leading negotiations and strategic partnerships for all traditional and digital media channels across the agency’s portfolio of clients including MillerCoors, Amazon, USAA, Merck and Dr Pepper Snapple Group.

Bosetti succeeds Kris Magel, who was promoted to President of Initiative US in November. She will report to David Cohen President US, Magna Global and have a dotted-line reporting relationship with Magel.

A 22-year-veteran of the media business, Bosetti joins Initiative from Optimedia, part of Publicis Groupe, where she most recently served as Executive Vice President, National Video Investments. There she spent the last 12 years building and leading Optimedia’s multi-screen Video Activation Group.

“We are thrilled to welcome Maureen back to the IPG network,” said Magel. “Maureen brings a wealth of multi-channel negotiation expertise, long-standing, trusted media relationships and a proven ability to build multifaceted partnerships to this role. I look forward to her joining our Initiative team and working with her to make an immediate and positive impact on our clients’ business.”

In 2013, Bosetti was named both an Ad Age Media All Star and AWNY Working Mother of the Year. She has also been named one of Broadcasting and Cable’s 2010 Next Wave of Leaders. She currently sits on the 4As National Broadcast Committee.
