Lost in Translation? New Oracle Integration Breaks Language Barriers

Oracle has made it easier for marketers to break language barriers thanks to the launch of Lingotek Translation to the Oracle Marketing AppCloud on Monday.

Lingotek’s automatic translation of marketing emails, forms and landing pages can now be integrated within Oracle Eloqua, offering marketers a helping hand in creating high-quality and consistent messaging regardless of language.

The SaaS-based technology automatically translates content and triggers campaign workflows on Oracle Eloqua, Oracle’s marketing automation service. Marketers can specify various languages to translate, and Lingotek’s memory technology automatically translates frequently used content.

Additional features include real-time review, tracking and monitoring analytics.

Any modern language can be translated with Lingotek, according to a Lingotek customer service representative. Although the company does not offer any data on the accuracy of the translation service, Lingotek insists that their translation services are incredibly accurate when compared to human translation.

An accurate language service could help save businesses time and resources, while increasing speed to market of collaborative, global marketing campaigns.

Language barriers can obviously restrict email marketers sending marketing content to a global audience, but Lingotek’s translation service could also be beneficial for in-house communication among global brands, as well as digital communication between business partners.

Lingotek’s addition to The Oracle Marketing AppCloud was a collaborative effort by their technology partner iTalent, a technology consultant services and cloud integration firm.

"Collaborating with iTalent in this venture has enabled us to create a networked translation product that can work for everyone," states Rob Vandenberg, Lingotek president and CEO, in a press statement. "We look forward to seeing Lingotek for Oracle Eloqua continue to develop, and help more users localize content continuously with our advanced translation technology."

The integration is a part of Oracle’s Partner Network (OPN), a partner program promoting the addition of third-party specialist solutions to Oracle’s Marketing AppCloud. The Oracle Marketing AppCloud offers a variety of marketing applications and data services for marketers.

Oracle’s cloud services have grown significantly over the past few years and jumped 26% year-over-year to generate $649 million for the company in Q2 2016, according to Oracle’s second quarter fiscal 2016 results.

Oracle is expected to release its third quarter fiscal years results on March 15.
