HPE Launches Haven OnDemand On Microsoft Azure

After two years in beta, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE) has launched its machine learning-as-a-service solution on the Microsoft Azure platform.

HPE Haven OnDemand adds over sixty APIs and services to Microsoft Azure, Microsoft’s cloud computing platform.

HPE Haven OnDemand offers a suite of machine-learning services, including detection software for patterns, speech, image or facial recognition. Additional features include predictive analytics, cloud-based and on premise search services, data format conversion and graph analysis.

Email marketers might be particularly interested in investigating the advanced text analysis capabilities available on HPE Haven OnDemand, which can pull ideas and sentiments from text. Subject lines evoking emotion were shown to significantly impact email marketing ROI in a recent study by Persado.

After originally launching in beta in December 2014, HPE Haven OnDemand already has almost 13,000 registered developers utilizing the service.

The integration of HPE Haven OnDemand’s services with Microsoft Azure is the result of a deal signed between the two companies and announced in conjunction with new collaborative cloud and mobile solutions in November.

The partnership allows Microsoft Azure users to leverage HPE Haven OnDemand’s advanced machine learning capabilities while creating mobile applications.

This isn’t the first time that Microsoft has extended its market reach with key business partnerships, and the company also has an ongoing business partnership with fellow tech giant Salesforce. They most recently announced the integration of SalesforceIQ with Microsoft’s Outlook email service last week.

80% of Fortune 500 brands now leverage Microsoft’s cloud services in some manner, according to the company’s website.
