SmartVideo, a video provider to wireless devices, announced Tuesday at 3GSM in Cannes that they had inked a deal with IFilm to bring movie clips, trailers, and short films to its wireless video service. SmartVideo's service, which already includes ABC News, NBC News, The Weather Channel, and DIC Kid's Network, can be streamed to current-generation smartphones and PDAs, and costs $12.95 per month.

In addition to adding IFilm, SmartVideo also announced Tuesday that they would enter a partnership with the Action Engine Corporation, a mobile application platform provider. SmartVideo and Action Engine are set to debut a live television viewing platform for mobile devices at the 3GSM convention. The Action Engine platform will be able to stream the live television to mobile phones and other wireless devices.
