Agency Veteran Dennis Ryan Named CEO Digital Kitchen

Digital Kitchen, part of Hakuhodo DY Holdings’ kyu division, has named former senior Olson executive Dennis Ryan as CEO. He’ll report to Michael Birkin, CEO, kyu. 

Digital Kitchen, which has been part of the kyu portfolio of companies since June of last year, has offices in Chicago, Seattle and Los Angeles. 

Ryan succeeds Bill Fritsch, who will continue to serve in an advisory role and remain on the agency’s board. 

Ryan joined Olson Minneapolis in 2011 to serve as the agency’s first Chief Creative Officer, leading and integrating brand, digital, mobile and social creative work across four offices. After Olson’s sale to ICF International in 2014, Ryan created his own brand consultancy, Fetrow Ryan & Partners, with partner Mike Fetrow. 

Earlier Ryan served for nearly a decade as Chief Creative Officer of Omnicom’s Element 79, and before that was Executive Creative Director at JWT Chicago, where he worked on international campaigns and chaired the shop’s worldwide creative council.
