Beautiful Destinations Launches 'The World's Coolest Job' Search

It is described as the ultimate dream job. Beautiful Destinations, which operates the largest travel and lifestyle portfolio on Instagram and Snapchat, is seeking new team members to travel the world with "The World's Coolest Job" search. The new employee will receive a competitive salary, health benefits and equity in the company as well as travel the world to exotic locations to film ad campaigns.   

The agency currently has a team of four creators (19 to 28-years-old) and believes that using social media might be the most effective way to hire more photographers and videographers. People apply through Oct. 31 on www.beautifuldestinations.com

The agency will review each candidate's post and Instagram account as a whole to get an idea of their shooting style and capabilities. "We're not looking at their number of followers necessarily -- their photography or video content is more important to us," the agency stated.

"We'll follow up with several candidates whose work aligns with our creative practices to move along into an interview process," says Beautiful Destinations' Nick Schweers. 

Then, the prospective candidate will likely go on a "test shoot" to showcase their capabilities. 

"We haven't put a cap on how many hires we'll make, but I know we plan to hire more than one person because we are looking for both photography and video talent," he says.  

This is the first time Beautiful Destinations has solicited potential workers via social media. "We have a very active and engaged social community of more than 12 million people on social media, and we thought this would be the best way to spread the message about the job across the globe [since] candidates can be located anywhere," says Schweers. 

"We create social first content for brands, so what better way to celebrate the job opportunity than on social." 

The initiative has received more than 10,000 applications in one week, exceeding expectations. "We are still rolling out several more promotional videos over the next few weeks, so we are easily expecting more applications," he says, adding that word-of-mouth is very powerful.
