Internet Creator Says Real Time Data Can be Manipulated to Create Real World Chaos

Sir Tim Berners-Lee, an inventor of the world wide web, has warned the British government that hackers could use open data to create chaos. Data such as real time transportation updates and traffic patterns could be manipulated to create real world gridlock. "When people are thinking about the security of their systems, they worry about people discovering what they are doing," Berners-Lee said in a new report. "What they don’t think about is the possibility of things being changed."
