Falk Purchases Rich Media Company

Falk North America acquired Commflash, a rich media company with a proprietary interstitial video ad format. The deal, which closed last week, was announced Wednesday. Commflash's Vice President for Sales and Marketing, Byron Biggins, will join Falk as business development manager for rich media, said Joe Apprendi, CEO of Falk North America. Commflash also will bring to Falk a large roster of big-name advertisers, including Vivendi Universal, Warner Brothers, Intel, Electronic Arts, MSN, AMEX, Nokia, Reebok, Johnson & Johnson, Verizon, US Army, Wal-Mart, Nintendo, and Staples. In April and May, Commflash ran more than 100 campaigns on sites including Tribune, UGO, Hearst, Reuters, NYTimes, IDG, Condenet, Accuweather, and Salon.com.
