LexisNexis will add broadcast television clips to its searchable index by December, the company is expected to announce today. Critical Mention, a Web-based TV search and monitoring service, is
providing the necessary technology. The video footage, which will come from a list of unnamed networks, will be accessible through LexisNexis' "AlaCarte!" service, which requires consumers to purchase
clips individually. Each video clip will most likely cost more than the text clips currently offered for about $4, according to a LexisNexis spokeswoman. -- Gavin O'Malley
