Chicago's Target Data Merges With Aisle Rocket

Two Chicago-based agencies Target Data and Aisle Rocket are merging to form one data-driven creative agency.

Aisle Rocket’s expertise in creative UX, brand storytelling, and e-commerce will complement  Target Data’s core capabilities of data and paid media execution.

“Think about our engagement model as three legs to a stool,” explains Ross Shelleman, CEO of Target Data. “The first leg is data and analytics that help shape deep customer and prospect insights through the use of data.  The second leg is creative, UX, and brand storytelling.  This leg allows us to create relevant content and creative that is shaped by data.  The third leg is paid media execution that executes through a test and learn strategy.“

Under the deal, the company will now operate under the Aisle Rocket brand name. Shelleman, will lead the new Aisle Rocket as Chief Executive Officer. Ronda Scalise will become Co-President along with Marshall Gibbs, the current President of Target Data.

The combined company will have over 125 employees across three offices in Chicago, Boston, and St. Joseph, MI. Chicago will serve as the headquarters with the consolidation of the two separate agencies joining under one roof. The new entity will continue to serve clients such as Whirlpool, Custom Ink, BJ’s Wholesale Club, PODS, Badcock&More Home Furniture, and The Shedd Aquarium in Chicago.

“Each team plays an integral and complementary role,” adds Shelleman. “This is one of the reasons we are not operating separate agencies.  All of the skills of the various teams are needed to drive revenue in an efficient data-driven way for our clients.”
