"The Mint Cookies and Cream Milkshake is just plain fun," says Woody Faulk, Chick-fil-A VP/brand development, in a statement. "We wanted to let our customers know that we appreciate their enthusiastic support of the shakes--and that we have a few surprises in store for them."
Chick-fil-A says its line of Hand-Spun Milkshakes recorded a respectable 2% percent of sales in its first week--well before the chain initiated its full-scale marketing campaign to support the product into the summer months. For the remainder of the year, they maintained an average percent-of-sales level of 4.
