Rooke Shows In Trouble, "Dancing" Delights
NBC's "Thank God You're Here" dropped to a Nielsen Preliminary 2.9 rating among 18-49 viewers. That's after a good outing a week before, when the show took in a solid 3.6 number.
Fox's "Drive" -- another newbie -- also headed in the same direction dipping to a 2.3 from its Sunday premiere of 2.6.
ABC lead the night, showing strong results with "Dancing With the Stars," which earned a 4.9 rating/13 share in adults 18-49, up slightly week to week. "The Bachelor: Officer and a Gentleman" came in with respectable 3.5/9 in 18-49, also up week to week. ABC won the night with a 4.2/11.
CBS was next with a 3.9/10, as its "CSI: Miami" led the way, winning the 10 p.m. time period. But that show took in a 4.7/12, somewhat below its seasonal average.
On the down side, CBS' "The New Adventures of Old Christine" at 8:30 continues its lower-viewing levels with a 2.6/7 in 18-49. CBS' two other comedies, "Two and a Half Men" and "The King of Queens," earned steady numbers: a 4.4/11, and a 4.5/11, respectively.
Fox was in the thick of things most of the evening. Its "24" had a nice 4.3/10. But the "Drive" rating of 2.3/6 in 18-49 let down the network for the night. This was down 10% versus a "House" repeat of a week ago, and 30% lower than a "Prison Break" episode.
NBC was only really competitive with at 8 o'clock with "Deal or No Deal," garnering a 3.2/9. For the night, NBC ended up with a 2.9/8. Univision, was next with a 1.9/5; then CW, at a 0.8/2.
