Avenue A|Razorfish Adds Chief Strategy Officer: Darin Brown

Avenue A|Razorfish, a unit of aQuantive, named Darin Brown as its first chief strategy officer. Brown has been with the agency for 10 years, most recently serving as president of its Western region.

In his new role, Brown will be responsible for a cross-section of areas, including analytics, strategy, technology, media, creative design, search, user experience and enterprise solutions. Brown will also be in charge of the agency's partnership alliance program and marketing efforts.

More broadly, Brown has been tasked with helping the agency's clients take full advantage of all existing and emerging channels, according to Clark Kokich, worldwide president of Avenue A|Razorfish.

"Going forward, our approach has to be different," said Kokich. "We have to think of new ways to support our clients in maximizing all digital channels on a global scale."

Avenue A|Razorfish's growing global roster now includes offices and clients across the U.S, Australia, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan and the United Kingdom.

"No single country is responsible for today's digital revolution; therefore, the key to addressing different consumer needs is learning how to reach the global consumer on their terms," said Brown.

As president of the Western region, Brown was responsible for leading operations in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles. He also led the agency's efforts in integrating its Web media and Web development capabilities.
