Add Gemstar-TV Guide to the list of broadband video publishers powered by Maven Networks, per a deal to be announced today. The online video services provider will now work with TV Guide to launch new broadband video creations on more than 300 video players at TVGuide.com.

In addition, Maven will be expected to monetize TV Guide's library of video assets, as well as manage its video content workflow and publishing in order to create and quickly update video user experiences.

"With Maven's viral syndication capabilities, we can continue to expand our user base," said Paul Greenberg, general manager of TV Guide Online.

TVGuide.com houses some 2,500 video clips, including TV show snippets, behind-the-scenes footage, reviews and celebrity interviews.

Other publishers within Maven's network include 20th Century Fox, A&E Television Networks, CBS's CSTV, Hearst, Sony Pictures Television and Univision Online.

Last month, Maven added Microsoft's Silverlight plug-in media player to the network of Web sites it powers.
