Yellow Book USA Taps AgendiZe For Local Search

  • September 17, 2007
Yellow Book USA has tapped the French tech firm AgendiZe to add increased functionality to its Yellowbook.com local business directory listings.

Through AgendiZe's "Call-to-Action" platform, consumers searching on Yellowbook.com now have the option of reaching advertisers by phone or saving (and sharing) local listings of interest with one click.

With the Click-to-Save & Share link, users can automatically transfer business listing info (including addresses, driving directions, and even coupons) to more than 50 wireless or online devices and services.

So a consumer searching for a local pizza shop, for example, can save that information to their mobile phone, PDA or desktop--or a social networking site like Facebook or de.licio.us.

With Click-to-Call, they can choose to connect with the advertiser immediately through AgendiZe using a unique phone number linked to an analytics and reporting platform. Both sets of activities can be tracked, providing accurate feedback on the effectiveness of each local ad listing.

AgendiZe's Call-to-Action platform became available to U.S. clients this month, coinciding with the tech firm's opening of a North American hub in Grapevine, Texas. --Tameka Kee
