At least some writers are happy. The Writers Guild of America has reached a tentative agreement with CBS. The new contract, which covers the network's news writers, editors, researchers and other
Guild members, has been long in coming. The employees have worked without a contract for almost three years. The new deal stipulates that WGA-CBS employees will get a 3.5% pay increase once the
contract is ratified, and another 3.5% raise in 2009.
