Nielsen Commercializes VOD Set-Top Data Service

Nielsen Company Thursday announced the commercial launch of Nielsen On Demand Reporting & Analytics (NORA), a new measurement service that aggregates and anonymously reports on video-on-demand (VOD) usage based on real time transactions collected at the set-top box level. Comcast, the nation's No. 1 cable operator, has already agreed to provide its VOD data to the service, and will also be among its first customers. --Joe Mandese
