Endemol, Metacafe Target 'Buzzed' Partygoers with Online Game Show

  • January 30, 2008
Endemol USA and Metacafe have partnered to launch "Buzzed," a late-night online game show that challenges partygoers around the country with trivia questions after a night out on the town.

The host of "Buzzed" will ask random nightclub and bar patrons questions ranging from pop culture to general trivia, and they will be awarded a cash prize for every correct answer. Contestants will also have the opportunity to "drunk dial" a friend to help answer one question, if necessary.

Episodes will be available on Metacafe, where viewers can submit trivia questions and physical challenges for the contestants, as well as rate, share and comment on their antics.

Los Angeles-based Endemol is the production company behind the hit franchises Deal or No Deal and Big Brother, among others. Meanwhile, Palo Alto, Calif.-based Metacafe is an online video network that boasts 28 million monthly unique visitors. Both companies are actively developing sponsorship opportunities for "Buzzed," with packages that include standard video and interactive ad units, as well as product integration opportunities.
