Unilever's Dove Refreshes Consumer Web Site

  • April 17, 2008
The former Dove.com is now, at least formally, the Dove Digital Channel--a consumer destination site that touts both Dove's "Campaign for Real Beauty" and its products. The company says the site, which launches today in the U.S., will be rolled out globally with upcoming launches in the UK and Canada over the next three months. The URL remains Dove.com.

The company says the site, via OgivlyInteractive, reflects an alliance with Microsoft's MSN centering on an online community and personalized visitor experiences. There will be an editorial "board of experts," guest editors and "ambassadors" encouraging participation in blogs and message forums at both Dove.com and Dove.MSN.com.

Members of the editorial board for the U.S. market include Jessica Weiner, author and global ambassador for the Dove Self-Esteem Fund; Stacy Nadeau, motivational speaker and Dove Real Woman from the launch of Campaign for Real Beauty; Ann Kearney-Cooke, psychologist and director of the Cincinnati Psychotherapy Institute, and Wendy Katzman and Athena Uslander, Dove Real Women who helped launch the pro-age phase of Campaign for Real Beauty in 2007.
