Responding to what it termed "strong demand for high quality video advertising inventory across the Internet to publishers," San Francisco-based video ad network BrightRoll has opened a Chicago office and added key executives in its New York and Los Angeles outposts.

Brad Piggott, formerly Midwest sales advisor for TripAdvisor.com, joined the company as sales director in Chicago. Previously, Piggott handled sales for sites including WSJ.com and Marketwatch.com at Dow Jones.

Lewis Rothkopf was named vice president of network development, based in New York. He was previously head of distribution for the National Broadband Company (NBBC), NBC Universal's digital video syndication business.

In Los Angeles, Mike Beller joined BrightRoll as sales director. He was previously Western sales manager with Source Interlink Media's Digital Group (formerly Primedia). And account director Jamie Goin is relocating to L.A. from San Francisco.

Last month, BrightRoll launched a high-definition ad unit for branded advertisers to deliver campaigns in high definition across its network of publishers, including CNN, MTV and CBS News.
