Scales Elevated To iCrossing CEO

Don Scales Pres. iCrossingDon Scales, president of iCrossing, has taken on the additional role of CEO, and will be responsible for worldwide operations for the company.

Previously, Scales served as president and COO of the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based company. Founder and CEO Jeffrey Herzog will continue to guide the strategic direction of the company as vice chairman of iCrossing's board of directors.

Scales joined iCrossing in 2006 to increase bottom-line profitability, streamline operations and improve the overall efficiency of the company. He teamed with Herzog for five acquisitions over the last 24 months. He is an interactive industry veteran, with more than 25 years as an executive manager. Scales previously was CEO at Agency.com, a full-service interactive agency, where he managed all aspects of the agency's worldwide operations.

"We've come a long way in the past 10 years, but today feels like a new beginning," Herzog said.

Herzog founded iCrossing in 1998. The company has grown from its roots as a search marketing agency to become a $150 million global digital marketing company with 620 employees in 15 offices in the U.S. and Europe. iCrossing's client base includes over 40 Fortune 500 companies.

"iCrossing was launched at a time when digital marketing was undefined and unappreciated," said iCrossing Chairman Richard Rosenblatt in a statement. "Jeff recognized early on that search would be at the center of digital marketing and his vision and passion will continue to drive iCrossing to become the leading digital agency. Don's operational accomplishments over the past two years as president and COO, and his relationships with clients and the growing team make him the ideal person to lead the company through its next phase of growth."
