Showing recent Forrester research indicating that social media platforms such as social networking, user-generated content, and blogging are unlikely to be cut, Bernoff said, “All of these platforms are recession resistant.â€
“Does anybody know why,†he continued? “It's because they work on word of mouth. In a recession, awareness is impacted. This is a group of technologies that will continue to be healthy even in the face of an economic recession.â€
